The Leather Studio

The Samanyanga Story

A studio built on
deliberate skill.

The Leather Studio was founded on one belief: that handcraft is not a heritage item – it is a viable profession. We train, we equip, and we sell. Then we do it again.

Why we exist

Access to equipment, professional photography, a sales platform, and a fair commission structure – these are not luxuries. They are what makes craft commercially viable. We provide the system. Artisans provide the skill.

Every commison from product sold on The Leather Studio funds the next training cohort. The model is designed to grow itself.

We are not preserving a tradition. We are building a profession.

The Leather Studio, founding principle

Our Mission

Craftsmanship

Products built to outlast the person who made them

Designed to improve with age and use. Not disposable – intentional.

Empowerment

Skills that belong to the artisan permanently

Training creates an asset no employer can take back. That is the point.

Sustainability

Ethically sourced materials and a self-funding model

Every sale funds the next cohort. The programme pays for itself over time.
